"I always loved mathematics and science as a child and was classically trained as a pianist and composer," says Pastry Chef Natsume Aoi. "As I grew up, music became my math and the pastry kitchen became my science." Entering the kitchen was only natural; her father was a chef and her grandmother "was one of the best cooks in my world.
